Introduction
Techcomp Profile
Techcomp was founded in 1988 by entrepreneur Mr. Richard Lo in Hong Kong. Initially a trading company, Techcomp specialized in distributing high-end scientific instruments. In 1994, we established our first manufacturing plant in Shanghai, China, marking a significant milestone in our growth.
As the demand in the Asian market surged, we expanded our operations by establishing subsidiaries in Singapore and Thailand between 2004 and 2008. Since then, we have continued to enhance our global presence through our own sales offices and strategic partnerships.
Starting in 2009, we broadened our product range through strategic acquisitions, including Froilabo from France, Precisa from Switzerland, Edinburgh Instruments from the UK, and SCION (formerly Varian) from the Netherlands, while maintaining their manufacturing facilities in their original locations.
We remain committed to our three core technologies: chromatography, spectroscopy, and general laboratory equipment. In recent years, we have made significant investments in research and development, leading to the successful launch of high-end products such as our Raman Microscope and new series of gas chromatography (GC) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) instruments. We will continue to prioritize new product development to provide state-of-the-art scientific instruments that meet our customers’ evolving needs.
